Memor is built to be usable by everyone.
Families visit graves under every circumstance — in grief, with children, with aging eyes and trembling hands. Accessibility is not an afterthought for Memor; it is built into the reason the product exists. This page describes our commitment and current status.
Our commitment
Memor aims to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA on all pages of thememorapp.com. This means the site should be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for users of all abilities and assistive technologies.
What we have implemented
Keyboard navigation
Every interactive element — navigation, forms, links, and buttons — is reachable and operable using only a keyboard. Focus indicators are visible and have sufficient contrast. Tab order follows reading order. A “Skip to content” link is available at the top of every page.
Screen reader support
All images have descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes. Semantic HTML elements (nav, main, header, footer, section, article) provide landmarks for screen reader navigation. ARIA labels supplement elements where native semantics are insufficient.
Colour and contrast
Body text meets a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio against all backgrounds. Large text and graphical elements meet 3:1. The site does not rely on colour alone to convey information. Interactive states (hover, focus, active) are communicated through both colour and non-colour cues.
Motion and animation
The homepage scroll animation and splash screen respect the “prefers-reduced-motion” system preference. Users who have set this preference skip the animated splash and see a static first view. All CSS animations are disabled or simplified when this preference is active.
Responsive and zoom-friendly
The site reflows correctly up to 400% browser zoom without loss of content or functionality. Text does not overflow its container. The site is fully usable on 360px mobile viewports.
Known issues
The three-dimensional homepage camera scroll, which runs on capable devices, is inherently a visual experience. An equivalent non-animated layout is provided for reduced-motion users and for browsers that do not support CSS scroll-driven animations. We continue to evaluate this section for improvements.
We are aware that some third-party advertising pixels may not conform to WCAG. We review these periodically and configure them to avoid injecting inaccessible content.

Technical information
thememorapp.com is built with Next.js and uses server-side rendering so that all text content is available in the HTML without JavaScript. This ensures compatibility with screen readers and text-only browsers, and is also the foundation of our SEO approach.
This statement was prepared in July 2026 and will be reviewed annually and whenever significant new features are launched.
