Find any grave. Walk right to it.

Memor is a grave finder that does what paper maps and office hours cannot: it takes a name and guides you on foot, row by row, to the headstone itself. Search by name, cemetery, or city, and Memor traces the route through the grounds with live GPS — the way modern navigation should work inside a cemetery, not just on the road leading to it.

Anyone who has visited a large cemetery knows the problem. You know your loved one is here. You may even know the section. But sections are acres wide, rows are unlabeled, and the office — if it's open — hands you a photocopied map with an X on it. Families walk in circles under the sun searching for one stone among thousands. Memor exists so no one searches alone.

How the grave finder works

Search a name in the Memor app. If the grave is in a mapped cemetery, Memor shows you its exact plot location on a satellite view of the grounds. Tap navigate, and a live walking icon guides you along the cemetery's own paths — the same turn-by-turn experience you expect from driving navigation, scaled down to footpaths and rows of stone.

When you arrive, the grave's memorial page opens: photographs, dates, and the stories the family has chosen to share. You can pay your respects, leave a tribute, or order care for the grave without leaving the app.

Works where records exist — and grows every week

Memor partners directly with cemeteries to digitize burial records and map plots to GPS coordinates. Coverage grows as cemeteries join the platform. If the cemetery you need isn't mapped yet, you can still create a memorial page for your loved one and pin the grave location yourself, so the next visitor — a cousin, a grandchild, a researcher — walks straight to it.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find a grave with Memor?

Download the free Memor app, search the person's name (optionally with a cemetery or city), and select the matching record. Memor shows the plot on a map of the grounds and guides you to it with GPS walking navigation.

Does the grave finder work in every cemetery?

Memor works in every cemetery that has joined the platform and mapped its records, and coverage grows continually. In unmapped cemeteries, you can pin a grave location yourself so future visitors can navigate to it.

Is Memor's grave finder free?

Yes. Searching for graves, navigating to them, and creating basic memorial pages are free for families. Optional services like professional grave care are paid.

Can I find a veteran's grave with Memor?

Yes. Memor includes veteran grave records and works in national and state veterans cemeteries that have been mapped. See our dedicated veterans grave locator for details.
